About Mel's Drive-In

Sherman Oaks was the third "Next Generation Mel's" to open and is the original Southern California location. Opened in 1989, the building is a prime example of "Googie" style architecture, known for its angled roofs and space-age design elements. This location is easily accessible via the 101 and 405 freeways, is close to Universal Studios, and is only a half mile away from the Sherman Oaks Galleria.
