Named for the mountainous spice-growing region of Kerala, India, Cardamom departs from traditional Indian restaurants by highlighting the flavors and ingredients found in the southwest region of the country. Brothers-in-law and business partners Nasir Syed and Badrul Alam Chowdhury own and operate this eatery, and this family venture is not just a delicious… place to eat, but it is exceptionally well run. Chowdhury is the executive chef and turns out delicious fare like chatpati calamari, samosas, biryanis, tandoor-cooked dishes, curries, and dishes both spicy and mild. The menu is extensive, so go back again and again to try it all. Complete every meal with an order of freshly baked naan bread and cooling raita, and be sure to save some room for dessert.
