PETCO Animal Supplies determines shipping costs based on the total weight of orders and the chosen shipping method. The Checkout page displays the total shipping charges before order submission. Estimated shipping costs appear in the Shopping Cart after customers log in to their registered online accounts. Final shipping charges are presented during Checkout, once a shipping address and method are selected. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or P.O. Boxes may incur a surcharge, depending on the default shipping address.

For the continental United States, PETCO offers various shipping options including Standard (2 - 5 business days), 2nd Day (2 business days), and Next Day (1 business day).

For P.O. Boxes, Alaska, and Hawaii in the continental United States, USPS Priority Mail is available with a delivery timeframe of 3 - 6 business days.

APO/FPO addresses and U.S. Territories are serviced through USPS Priority Mail with a delivery range of 7 - 13 business days. It's important to note that some items might not be shipped via USPS due to size, weight, and dimensions.

Petco.com offers various convenient methods for returning purchases. Customers can return orders within 30 days of the initial shipment date at Petco or Unleashed by Petco stores for a full refund or merchandise credit for returns made 31-60 days after shipment. Restrictions apply to prescription medicine and pharmacy products. Returns require proof of purchase such as a store return receipt or purchase confirmation email.

For online orders using PayPal, returns are accepted at stores within 30 days for a refund to the chosen card or exchange, with merchandise credit issued for returns made 31-60 days after shipment. Shipping charges are non-refundable for returns by mail to the Cranbury, NJ warehouse. Refunds are issued based on the original form of tender, and at-home pickups are available in select areas.

Returns without receipts or after 60 days are not accepted. Personalized items and prescription medications have specific return policies. Refunds for PayPal transactions are applied back to the PayPal account.
