About Archives

Archives is a genealogy research platform and part of the Ancestry family of services that helps users explore family histories and construct digital family trees. The service provides extensive searchable databases containing historical public records, including U.S. census data, vital records such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, military documents, historical newspapers, and photos. Beyond online record access, members can also request official hard-copy vital certificates ordered directly through issuing state or local record offices. Subscriptions are available on recurring billing cycles, often beginning with an introductory free trial period for new members. When subscribing or ordering records, shoppers can earn Price.com cashback on eligible purchases, with current rates listed directly on the Price.com store page.
